Peacefully at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Sunday, December 8, 2019 of RR 2 Lucan, at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late John Ovens (2019). Missed by her sister Jean Weber of Cornwall, and nephews Philip of Toronto and John of Ottawa. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Verda Taylor.
Both Jeanette and John had been members of International Cockshut Club and Tri-County Heritage. The family is very grateful for the many neighbours and friends who helped Jeanette through the months after John’s passing.
At Jeanette’s request, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held in the spring at the Carlisle Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Lucan (519-227-4211).

Will miss visits with Jeanette; a short stop would always end up being a half hr later but what is time? She was always full of smiles and enjoyed catching up on community events and what the kids were up to. John and Jeanette were the ice cream cone duo in Lucan and could often be seen early summer evenings in for their treat. Jeanette missed those outings and now is at peace with John; it has been a blessing knowing Jeanette.

We recently reconnected with Jeanette and John. Sorry to hear that she passed away so quickly. I’ll miss our emails and telephone calls and our lunches at Wagg’s. Jeanette will be remembered for her smile and positive attitude.
Hard to believe they are both gone.

I’m so glad that I got to see Aunt Jeanette and Uncle John a couple of time in recent visits and her a few months ago with Mom and Dad. I so enjoyed her joyfulness and positivity. I will miss her so much. Thinking and praying for you all.

We have many great memories of the snowmobile days with Jeanette and John.

One of the nicest ladies one would ever meet.
We will miss Jeanette’s beautiful smile and perpetually sunny outlook on life. She was always fun to be around – seeing people as good and kind, helping family and friends whenever possible, always interested in the health and happiness of others.
Her commitment to Christ has put her in His loving presence. “No More Night” as we remember her dear dad singing at so many funerals.
