To the entire O’Neil family;

We are sending our sincere condolences to you all for the loss of your mom, grandma, & mother-in-law. I met Bev a few times when I was neighbours living beside Harry & Amanda and directly behind Mac & Wendy – she had forgotten which house it was that she was to visit …. when I opened the door she said, ‘Oh, must be the wrong house’…. we laughed and had a good chuckle – since all the houses on Kent Avenue looked so similar.
My mom went to high school with Dan Sr. and had lots of great stories about the family.
I have been so honoured to know so many of Bev’s lovely grandkids – tutoring them math over the years… Rachel, Brooklyn, Lilly, & Violet and seeing others grow up being neighbours – Maggie, Abby, Sam, Ryder, Jude, and Ellie.
Bev sounded like the pillar to the family tree and the matriarch… big hugs to you all and cherish all the memories you have. Our thoughts are with you all.

Condolence from Audrey Monk on February 2nd, 2026 1:47 PM

To my beloved O’Neil family, I am so sorry and heartbroken to hear of Bev’s passing. She was such a quiet strength and source of love to all that knew her.

Her family was her greatest accomplishment, pride and passion… she truly loved each and every one of you and was so very proud of each and every one of you!

I was lucky enough to grow up in the Southgate community with my friend Bev and all you guys. She was dedicated, the hardest working woman I think I’ve ever met, loyal and kind.

Her legacy will always be you guys, her kids, grandkids and great grandkids… and I know you will do her proud.

Keep string, love and support each other and remember such an amazing woman you got to call mom!

I am forever grateful to have had her in my life, to call her friend, well maybe more like family! Rest in sweetest peace beautiful Bev, you will never be forgotten 🌹

Condolence from Mary Lou McRae on February 4th, 2026 11:49 AM

Dear O’Neil Clan,
Bev was a high school friend of mine. Sadly, we grew apart after we married but she continued to hold a special spot in my heart.
I just finished watching the wonderful photos you have online. It reminded me of one of the few times, Lyn, Bev and I got together for a girls weekend at my cottage, maybe 15 or 20 years ago. Bev came equipped with her photo album to share pictures of her beloved family. You guys were her whole world. I never knew anyone who was a selfless as Bev.
Lyn called to let me know, the day she died. Oddly, someone asked me just after I heard, did you ever roller skate? Oh yes, the summeer holiday I spent at Port Stanley with Bev at a cottage her parents rented. We roller skated at the Stork Club. Happy memories from so long ago.
It is hard to lose someone who played such a big part in your lives. Cherish the memories and the beautiful pictures with her. Support each other crying and laughing and find comfort knowing your mom, granny, great granny, relative and friend to many, is now free of pain and able to soar in her heavenly home.
Love
Mary Lou
