Condolence from Joanne on October 24th, 2020 2:53 AM

Dear Morey Family Members,
How hard it must be that Flora’s journey on earth has come to an end. Thinking of her promised transition onto her next journey softens the heartache and I can smile and imagine, it will be a grand reunion! How poignant that your two ol’ silly gals willed their passing time so close together, after being stuck to each other’s side for all their years! I love that it happened this way and they are once again joined together, along with their loved ones, until you meet again. I could never thank her enough for always making me, and then my family, feel so welcome and included and part of the gang any time we dropped by, and long visits when Denise got home and especially all the holidays…some 37 years and counting !!! She loved to talk and reminisce and I loved hearing about the old days and how life was! I know that she has left you all with her wisdom and teachings that have become a part of you all now! You were all lucky to have each other, you were like her own children as well but it is finally time for her to reunite with her beloved Don and that makes this sad time so much easier knowing they are together again! Thinking of you all! May love comfort you.
Love Joanne and Pat and family

To everyone in the Morey family. I am so sorry to hear of Flora’s passing. However, I am sure she has been lonely without her sidekick Mary. The last time I saw them both together they came for fish and chips at the golf course. They came for lunch every once in a while and we would joke that they were eating in their Uncle Paul and Aunt Mae’s old cow barn! We would always have a good laugh about that. Dad and I are sorry we were not there today at the funeral home. It’s hard for Dad to get around now. He has many fond memories of his cousin Flora and her sisters as do I. My sincerest sympathy to you all at this time.

Condolence from Mary Longstaff on October 27th, 2020 11:24 PM

Dear Terry, Sandra and Family, Our deepest condolences to your family from ours. Don and Flora were our neighbours on Adam Street from 1978 to 1996. Always ready for a chat and loved by the neigbourhood kids. All 18 of them at one time. Don did some woodwork for us making my dad a portable chair which we still use. He made Nick a case for his trains to display and of course we still have that. Flora and Mary were inseparable and always a quick laugh and a joke and maybe some teasing whenever we met. Mary of course was a back catcher with me trying to be one, in the Seaforth Ladies baseball. We did win that year and always loved her for her quips and kindness. Thats back in the seventies for sure. Also to note, in the day, if there was a town dance or event we always had fun. It was a smaller town and gentler time. We all mingled and had such a good time. Don and Flora and many others. Rest in peace Flora you will be missed. The Longstaff Family
