In Loving Memory of Dawn Nora Moyer (née Harris)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dawn Moyer at the age of 73.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Dawn dedicated 36 years of her life to caring for others as a nurse. Her compassion, kindness, and unwavering commitment to helping people left a lasting impact on countless patients, colleagues, friends, and family.
Outside of her career, Dawn was a talented seamstress whose creativity was reflected in everything she made. Music was one of her greatest passions. She loved to sing and shared her beautiful voice as a member of her church choir and with a barbershop chorus. Whether she was singing, dancing, or simply sharing her infectious smile, Dawn brought joy wherever she went.
Above all else, Dawn’s greatest happiness came from being a grandmother. Her beloved granddaughter, Vaughn, was the light of her life, and the love they shared was immeasurable.
Dawn was predeceased by her loving parents, Warren and Loretta Harris, and her sister, Connie Ward.
She will be forever missed by her son, Scott; her daughter, Shammi (Allan); her cherished granddaughter, Vaughn; her brother and sister-in-law, Len and Colleen; her nieces and nephews, Lorianne and Peter, Chad, Jennifer, and Lee; her dear lifelong friend, Rae; her former husband, Jack; and many extended family members and friends whose lives she touched with her warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit.
Dawn’s legacy is one of compassion, music, laughter, and unconditional love. Though she is no longer with us, her songs, her smile, and the kindness she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
She was a lovely person and I am sure will be sadly missed. On behalf of the Clarkson family we would like to send our condolences to the family.
Vaughn, Al and myself miss you so much!!! Sure is an emptiness at home.
Dawn will always have a special place in my heart for her love of music and her church. May she rest in Peace now.
