It is with great sadness we share the passing of Claudette Lorraine Moir who passed away on February 26, 2026. Claudette was born in London Ontario on September 25, 1953. Predeceased by the love of her life and best friend John Moir (2024). Claudette leaves behind her children Nicole (Bill) Broer and Ryan (Kinga) Moir and her 5 grandchildren who she loved and adored. In recent years Claudette and John had time to reconnect with friends and enjoyed spending time together going for drives, visiting with their family and friends Claudette especially enjoyed her weekly card games and occasional road trips with the “Girls”. These moments brought so much joy to her life.

We would like to thank the nursing staff, respiratory therapists and palliative care staff at University Hospital for taking such wonderful care of our mom. We would also like to thank Dr. Yamashita and Dr. Mura for overseeing Claudette’s Pulmonary Fibrosis needs and Dr. Leger for being such a wonderful family physician.

Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Haskett Funeral Home, LUCAN entrusted with arrangements. Interment Medway Cemetery, Middlesex Centre.

Nicole, Ryan and Famlies
We are so sorry for the loss of a mother and grandmother. Claudette fought a great fight with courage, never complaining about her fate. We did have lots of fun at our weekly card games and road trips including Nicole.
John and Claudette are together, driving. With the top down watching their family with pride.

To Claudette and John’s family,
I was one of the privileged people(from our days at Medway) that John and Claudette chose to look up in the last couple of years. At that time, they both looked like the epitome of health. They hadn’t aged at all in my eyes. I was so shocked at John’s death. My heart broke for Claudette and her family.
I met up with Claudette once again at Wendy Moir’s Celebration of life.I was shocked by the oxygen that she needed. Also, it was clear to me that she was still grieving her husband. She talked at length about him. It was so great to hear her stories about all those cars!! It was only when I asked that she even acknowledged her health issue. When she spoke to me about it, she was upbeat and said she was doing well and yet now here we are. I’m very sorry for everything your family has had enduring over these last couple of years. It’s heartbreaking for you all I’m sure.

RIP Brave Claudette
