Brian passed away unexpectedly at South Huron Hospital on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the age of 73. Loving brother and brother-in-law of Barry and Melonie Miller of RR 3 Exeter, and Barb Miller and Henry Emmerson of Waterloo. Cherished uncle of Rebecca and Rich Heessels (Cole, Jake, and Ellie), Laura Miller, Maggie Miller and James Acs (Jacob, Brooke, Kensi, and Everett), and Sarah and Dave Govers (Jason, Wyatt, and Charlotte). Predeceased by his parents Edwin and Jean (Brock) Miller.
Brian graduated from the University of Guelph and began working for the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food for a few years before returning home to his true passion, the farm. Over the years, he sat on many boards and dedicated a lot of his time to many agriculture organizations, including Huron County Egg Farmers, Egg Farmers of Ontario, Ontario Livestock Research Innovation Corporation, Hensall Coop and many more. Above all, Brian was fiercely dedicated to his farm and his family. Time spent with his nieces and great nieces and nephews brought him the greatest joy. He never missed a birthday, a phone call or a chance to visit them in the yard.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Wednesday, August 27th from 1 – 4 PM with words of remembrance at 1 PM. **Please dress casually
