Condolence from Jacqueline Cantwell on January 31st, 2014 11:00 AM

Mel was a very good son, and a good brother to me and his other siblings. He was a caring and compassionate man and well liked in our small community. He remained fond of New Brunswick and frequently returned to visit family, friends and particularly, to have some (down home) cooking, lobster, corn on the cob, passé pierre and college bread, oysters on the shell were his favorites. We all loved our big brother and were proud of his accomplishments and the fact that he never forgot his roots. I have missed talking to him, as he had a sense of humor and loved to discuss current news items. Mel was always a sociable person and loved people. I am saddened by his passing and the thought that we all lived so far apart. I did spend a nice few days with Jackie and Mel in Moncton, having come from California. Love you, Leopold. You are a great guy. May you rest in peace.
Your sister, Jacqueline

Condolence from Peter & Frances on January 31st, 2014 1:00 PM

We&&single&&re thinking of you all at this time and wishing you comfort.
Our sincere sympathy Leanne to you and your families
