Born September 24, 1934, she passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London, with her family by her side on Friday, October 10, 2014, of Exeter, in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Scott McNair (November 2, 1994). Dear mother of John McNair of Chatham, Debra McNair and Roy Becker of Crediton, Ross and Elaine McNair of Leamington, Shirley Bechard of Exeter, and Carol Stagg of Windsor. Loving grandmother of Chelsea, Wanda, Scott, Garen, Steven, Lance, Matthew, Dana, Kimberley, Amanda, Carol, Barry, Jennifer, Amie and Tyler. Also missed by 14 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Pauline Furlotte of London and Audrey Curran of Dartmouth, NS, and loving aunt of several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Beverley (2002), son Scott (2013), son-in-law Brad Dittmer (2002), and granddaughter Ailson (2009). This lovely lady is going to be sadly missed by her very dear friends who were all very special to her.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main), on Tuesday, October 14th from 9:30 – 10:30 am, where a memorial service will be held on at 11 AM. Cremation.
Donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, London would be appreciated by the family.

Deb, I am so sorry to read about your Mom. I know this must be very hard on you and your entire family. Losing a Mother is such a tough thing to go through, and I feel for you all. I always enjoyed seeing your Mom. She was a “what you see, is what you get” kind of lady. I am thinking of you, Hugs…
sorry to hear of alice,s passing. she was a great lady..when she lived at sanders st apt. she always helped my sister. she made a pair of slippers once and my sister thought that was wonderful. may she rest in peace

I will never forget her laughter and wonderful personality. She had a way of making us all comfortable and happy. We haven’t seen her in a while but often thought of her. She will surely be missed.

hi everyone sorry to here about your mom i did talk to her a couple of times when scott died i would be there with you but leonards mom is in hosptial she is 101 any way please one of you email me even on face book it was good to see all the picture of you all o did i babysit you all and loved it any way one you contact me please barb and leonard
Dear McNairs, was very sorry to hear about your Mom. It is a shame we have all fell so far apart. No One is to fault. Well your mom took care of Ginger and Kim for us and when we got home Ginger was calling your mom , mom, I seen your mom in Exeter at a tournament. I was playing cards for my legion and she was playing darts. We had a nice visit. If you don’t know both my parents have died Wilf and Bernice and my husband Gord. I am sure your mom will be happy to be with your dad. Sincerely I am truly sorry we all lost contact.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your Family at this most difficult time. I never met Grandmoo but heard some great stories from her Grandson , Matthew Pfaff. We are so happy that the Grandbabies got to meet her.
Please accept the condolences of our family for the passing of your mom. Seeing the photos brings back many memories of when you lived near us. I will always remember your moms laugh.

Our prayers and condolences go out to Alice’s family. Joan and I were both so very sad to hear of her passing. Although we have been gone from there for many years, we both look back fondly on Alice’s willingness to always help, the way she always went out of her way to make you feel welcome, her blunt honesty, and her infectious laughter.

What a beautiful women Alice was. So full of life and laughter (how could you ever forget that laugh) she will be missed greatly and never forgotten. I am so happy to have known her and been a part of her life and I’m so happy that her great grand babies Ayla and emery pfaff got to meet her if only for a short time. You will forever be in our hearts grandma. May your soul rest in peace. Love you.
