McLEAN: Betty May (Dinsmore) of Exeter and formerly of Seaforth

Peacefully at Exeter Villa, on Monday March 8, 2021 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Donald McLean for over 50 years. Cherished mother of Ken McLean and his wife Shirley of Walkerton, Stewart McLean and his wife Jean of London, Susan Armstrong and her partner Earl Reinhardt of Teeswater, and the late Cathy Drake and her husband Gary of Woodstock. Loving grandma of Marsha (Dave), Paul (Jennifer), David (Alicia), Jason (Holly), Jenny (Dave), Stacey (Robert), William (Danielle), Scott (Lisa), Mark (Nikki), and great grandmother Mat, Geena, Hailey, Madison, Courtney, Brendan, James, Nolan, Abby, Emma, Jace, Dawson, Hunter, Evan, Carter and Cameron. Dear sister Shirley Ryan, Bob (Shirley) Dinsmore, Bill (Liz) Dinsmore. Predeceased by parents Elsie (Madill) and Earl Dinsmore, and brother-in-law Bill Ryan.

Betty enjoyed square dancing with her husband Don at the Clinton Public School. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends and camping. Betty loved babies and was excited with each new grandchild and great grandchild’s birth.

A private family funeral service will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, Seaforth (519-527- 1390) on Friday March 12th at 1PM. Spring Interment Maitland Bank Cemetery. Though the funeral service is private, the family invites you to join with them from the comfort of your own home. Donations to the Anglican Parish of the Holy Spirit (formerly St. Thomas Anglican Church, Seaforth), the Alzheimer’s Society, or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

I can still hear Betty’ laughing when my mom and her were up to something. Playing cards, camping, getting ready for a road trip. There were a lot of great times at the trailer, lots of great card games, great food and lots of fun.
