Zurich- Hensall Combines and the friendships made. Janet remember how you and I waited forever after the games for Gary and Kevin to come out of dressing room. I think there was a lot of home made beverage consumed in that room.

Oh where to begin….I can still hear Kevin’s laugh clear as a bell and a “Hey Clarkey” greeting at the door as he asked what trouble Danielle and I were going to be getting up to that day.
If we wanted to borrow money, booze, ciggies and/or his little blue standard truck, then we had to really weasel our reasons to him and sign off on IOU’s that would go into his red metal toolbox under lock and key. We would take our seats on the couch beside “his” chair in “his” front room. It was usually a long process, as he would laugh at us and say
“ ‘cha right, ‘cha right ya will” as we begged and tried to justify our way through to him. He always gave in to us, as he knew he would, and we knew he would, but not without all the bantering back and forth first. Deep down we all enjoyed it, but would never admit it out loud.
Kevin was the guy who could easily put a smile on your face and turn your mood right around by just being himself.
Kevin was always kind and welcoming and without a doubt will be missed by many.
…..I often think of those times spent on Edward St. in Z-Rock. Those times were priceless. ❤️

My condolence go out to Janet and the family.I may have not known Kevin that well but always heard nice things about him.I’ve chummed with Mike and Wendy and they always talked highly of Kevin and the family.Lately I had the pleasure of dealing with Dannielle at the bank.It is really something to see the next generation leading the way.Kevin, if you can hear.You raised a great personable, smart daughter.That’s a sign of what you guys are like as parents.I don’t know the other kids well but if you carry the torch that your dad lit,you will be fine.It’s to bad some of us hold back till now to say nice things about people.One should never hold back because one never knows when our number is called.Then again actions are better than words.I hope the words and actions of people will get you through these tough times.But it will really come down to what Kevin taught about life will help get that job done.

Although I have not seen Kevin for many years I remember him vividly from the 1960s when he and I were students at South Huron District High School in Exeter. For me Kevin was a typical “Zurich boy” of that era: very nice, wickedly charming and a lot of fun to be with and around.
