McDONALD: Audrey Jean (Haycock) of Exeter

At South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Saturday, October 17, 2015 of Exeter, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Clarence (King) McDonald (2000).  Dear mother of Rick McDonald of Exeter, Kathy and Doug McVittie of Burlington, and Sandi and Thadeus Zebroski of Brantford. Loving grandmother of Michelle and Sandro, Lisa and Jeff, Jamie; David and Sandy, Tina and Devon; and Tatyana; and great-grandmother of Ryan, Anna, Jordyn, and Taylor. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Ken and Lily Haycock of Livonia, Michigan and Ted McDonald of London, and remembered by many nieces and nephews. Audrey grew up in Detroit and attended the University of Michigan to study teaching.  She moved to Exeter with the love of her life, King with whom she enjoyed 54 years of marriage. Audrey was  a great mother and devoted grandmother. She was a 60 year member of the Eastern Star, active in the Exeter United Church, and will be remembered as someone who loved to dance and curl.

Friends may call one hour prior to a memorial service, which will be held at Exeter United Church, 42 James Street, Exeter on Friday, October 23rd at 11 AM. Cremation with interment Exeter Cemetery.

Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Audrey’s passing. Both King and Audrey were so kind to Mom and Dad at the Exeter Curling Club when they joined . They made them feel at home. I had a few visits with Audrey when I was in Exeter, and she was always such a kind and sincere lady. It was a pleasure to know her , and I am thinking of you , and your families at this time.
