Passed away at St. Marys Memorial Hospital, St. Marys on Saturday, February 9, 2019 of Woodham at the age of 54. Dear son of Dorothy Evelyn (Glanville) McCurdy of St. Marys, and Tom Jenkins of Oil Springs. Father of Nicole Anne McCurdy, and Hannah Marie McCurdy. Grandfather of Hailie. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Randy and Sandra McCurdy of Granton, Terry McCurdy of St. Marys, and Dianne and Ken Siertsema of Blyth. Loving uncle of Jackson, Mya, Olivia, Jessica, Kasey, and Amber. Barry will be missed by his Aunt Sherry McKenzie of Cambridge, and the Jenkins family of Oil Springs. Predeceased by step-father Ross “Gus” Frederick McCurdy.
Please join Randy and Sandra for a celebration of Barry’s life at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 540 (Lucan Legion), 136 Market Street, Lucan on Saturday, February 16th from 1 – 5 PM. Cremation has taken place.
For those who wish, donations may be made to the Ailsa Craig Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
We are so sorry to hear of Barry’s passing. I haven’t seen Barry in a long time but will hold very dear memories of him close to my heart. We had so much fun together from childhood and up through the years. We may have not seen each other in awhile but we always had a big hug for each other wherever met up. Please know that our deepest sympathies are with you all. Such a great loss to our family.

Only met Barry a few times, through trucking with his brother Randy. Always was a good time talking with him! May he rest in peace! Gone way to young!

My sincerest condolences. Barry and I both went to SPCS and DCVI together. We also went canoeing down the Saugen river as Scouts. He will be missed.
