Passed away at Seaforth Community Hospital on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Glen McClure (2011) for 59 years. Cherished mother of Barb and Bill Worden, Marie Leonhardt and Jack Legg, Dave and Carol McClure, Paul McClure, Dan and Lisa McClure, and Donna and Joe Fonti. Margaret will be greatly missed by her 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Helen Bettles, Joan and Greg McDonald, and sister-in-law of Ken and Marion McClure, and Murray and Chris McClure. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her great-grandson Hudson Wolfe, parents Bill and Isabel (Reid) Rogerson, brother and sister-in-law Ken and Marg Rogerson, brother-in-law Gord Bettles, mother and father-in-law Jim and Helen (Kerr) McClure, brother and sisters-in-law Don and Joyce McClure, Marjorie and Eric Anderson, John McClure, and Ron McClure.
Margaret dedicated 22 years of her life to the Seaforth Community Hospital, serving as a compassionate and reliable Emergency Switchboard Operator. A long-standing member of the Cavan United Church – Winthrop, she was deeply involved in the Winthrop community. Her warmth, dedication, and kind spirit touched the lives of many, and she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Margaret’s neighbours, friends and staff at the Seaforth Community Hospital for the care and compassion provide to her over years.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, SEAFORTH on Friday, January 3rd from 10 AM – 12 PM, where Margaret’s funeral service will be held at 12 PM. Cremation with spring interment at Maitlandbank Cemetery.

Donations to Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation or Cavan United Church – Winthrop in Margaret’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
Our very deepest sympathies all of Margie’s family and especially to Barb, Marie, Dave, Paul, Dan and Donna … and Joan and Helen. I have fond memories of our families spending time together when we were all so much much younger, and I remember those times being filled with laughter, some shenanigans and always good times.

The best part of growing up in Winthrop is knowing your neighbours, and we were so blessed to be known and loved by Marg. I always loved seeing her, especially over the last few years at SHDHS’ Remembrance Day Assemblies when she came with mom and the car full of ladies.
