MCCARTHY: Walter of RR 2 Hensall

Walter went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 24, 2021 of RR 2 Hensall, at the age of 71. Cherished husband of LaVerne (Boss) McCarthy for over 20 years. Proud father of Shawn and Holly, Chad and Heather, Jason and Leona, Deirdre Cary, Josh and Kathy, Gabrielle and Brad Luckey, Jasmine and Jon Tarter, Isaiah and Karen, Evangelene and Mike Norwood, Angelica and Martin Barnard, Harmony and Jordan Cary, Charity and Dylan, Ezekiel and Mildred, and Ezra and Nalesia. Step-father of Jasen and Katrina Peterson. Adored grandpa of 54 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Alice and Vic Nordstrom, Calvin and Margaret McCarthy, and Harold and Barbara McCarthy. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Alice May (Pratt) McCarthy, and his daughter Lydia.

Along with his love for the Lord, Walter’s greatest pride was spending time with his family and his Pomeranians, which he enjoyed showing at competitions. He was proud of his 50 Canadian Kennel Club Pomeranian champions.

Walter’s funeral service will be held at Exeter Pentecostal Tabernacle, 70670 London Road, EXETER on Friday, July 30th at 2 PM with Pastor Bob Loohuizen officiating. Interment Hensall Union Cemetery. Due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions, each person must RSVP for the funeral service. Please click “Register Now” below to register.
