McCann: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, Mary Noel “Nell” (Hogan) McCann of Mount Carmel in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Augustine McCann (1982). Loved mother of Joanne and Gord Hardy of Lucan, Barb and Gary Rau, Dave and Denise McCann, Steve and Fran McCann, Rick and Cindy McCann, Pauline Insley all of Mount Carmel. Loved grandma of 15, Great grandma of 26 and great great-grandma of 1. Dear sister and sister in-law of Cecilia Mittelholtz of London, Joe and Pauline Hogan of Exeter, Rita Hogan and Don Smallwood of Grand Bend, Mary Hogan of Exeter, Jim Williamson, Irene McCann of Grand Bend and Ruby (McCann) Person of Michigan. Remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by son in-law Murray Insley, brother Jack Hogan, sister Marg (Inson) Williamson, sister in-law Ruth Hogan, brother in-laws Ed Mittelholtz and Bill Inson and parents Wilfred and Philomene (Desjardine) Hogan. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 2 to 6 pm. Parish and family prayers at 2 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church, on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 11 am. Rev. Father Vince Gulikers Celebrant. Interment at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to South Huron Hospital and or VON Middlesex. Nell was a long time standing member with the CWL since 1953 and served many years as the clerical administrator for the parish.

What a life well lived and fulfilled! Nell was blessed with Children, Grand children, Great-Grandchildren and a Great-Great Grandchild. What a blessing!! Everyone in our Parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel knew ‘Nell’. She kept everything running smoothly at mass and later as clerical administrator. She will be missed in our community.
