Unexpectedly at the farm in Zurich, on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the age of 85. Survived by Mary (Finlay) McBride of Hensall. Loving father of Joanne and the late George Regier of Dashwood, Peter McBride of Zurich, and Thomas and Leisa McBride of Zurich. Cherished grandpa of 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Wes McBride, and Phylis Deichert both of Zurich. Predeceased by his brothers Hugh, and Keith , sisters-in-law Marjorie, and Elaine and brother-in-law Earl.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street, North, ZURICH on Wednesday, February 12th from 9:30 – 10:30 AM, where the funeral service will be held at 11 AM. Reverend Randy Banks officiating. Interment Bayfield Cemetery.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Dear Mary, so sorry to hear of John’s passing. It brings back old memories from the 50’s and 60’s being next door neighbors. I especially remember John hiding his 1960 Bel Air in our drive shed, in order to conceal where you both were to travel to on your honeymoon the next day, That gave me, Merv and Mom an opportunity to decorate the “honeymoon car.”
