Condolence from Doug and Sharon Kyle on April 17th, 2022 7:33 PM

Shirley, Karen , Janet , John and your families,
Extending our sincere sympathy to all of you at this difficult time. We were so fortunate to have such wonderful next door neighbours on the Parr Line! My dad (Laird) and Ian often helped each other out as needed. Dad curled with Ian . Ian always had a smile and a quiet manner .
I remember attending the Belmore Syrup Festival with you. We went on a hay ride. Janet threw her mitts in the snow. Ian did get a tad upset as we had to stop the wagon and pick up the mitts. I should have not let her do that .
Cherish your memories! We will be keeping all of you close in our thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,
Doug and Sharon Kyle and Mary Jacobe

How fortunate I was to continue that friendship when I married and moved to Huron County in 1961.Ian was not only a wonderful family oriented person but a leader in our community as he served on numerous committees and boards. He was a wise, kind and caring person who will be missed by many.

Shirley, Karen, Janet, John & families;

Our sincere sympathy in the passing of your dear husband, father and grandfather. I will always remember Ian as a very kind and generous man. He (and Shirley) were always very welcoming whenever I visited the family farm as a young lad to see my friend John. I well remember and appreciate fun trips to the International Plowing Match and Ontario Place with the McAllister family with “Mr. McAllister” at the wheel. He contributed greatly to our local community and our broader society.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
