Dear Paul, Pam, Peter, Perry and familes,
We have so many good memories captured from our times as neighbours and friends.
I will always remember the piano playing, your Mom singing and her smile. Maxine was able to turn a garden into a work of art, a house into a home and people into friends.
To this day I prepare meals that she took the time to teach me how to make.
In these recent years she has shared many stories filled with happiness about her children and their children. She will be missed. Thinking of you all in sorrow and in sympathy. Love JoAnn and Paul

Condolence from Rev. Gary Shuttleworth on March 12th, 2011 7:38 PM

On behalf on the Shuttleworth fanily I extend our sincerest sympathies. Many memories flood my thoughts of times when the Sereda and Shuttleworth families were together, especially when you had the farm outside Chatham. When my ordination took place in Centralia Maxine and George opened up their home for an extened celebration. My parents, Len & Verlyn, and George and Maxine remained very close over the years. Dad had a phone call from Maxine just the other day. She was there for Canada Day celebrations with Pam in Saint Marys when my dad was recognized for his part in helping bring peace during WW2. Maxine was a special lady who brought a sense of peace to all who were in her company. We will certainly miss her but we are happy for her now that she is with George again living in glory where she will wear a crown of righteousness throughout eternity.
I am so sorry that my parents cannot be there as mom (Verlyn) is in a nursing home and my dad (Len) is in the hospital recovering from pneumonia. However, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
God’s peace!
Gary

Peter, Paul, Pam, Parry.
I have been wondering what I would say to you that would bring some comfort but I find it hard to put anything into words. Thinking back to those times out on the farm are my most vivid memories. I do miss the fun, food, and your mom’s smiles. She had a way of telling the ‘city folk’ the God’s truth then giving you that sideways glance with her pixie eyes. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
