Condolence from Libby Kay on December 5th, 2012 11:37 AM

Dear Cindy, Sarah, Andrew, Jeffrey and Scott,

How sorry I was to read of the death of your mother/grandmother. No matter how inevitable it seems, losing such a precious one is still a great shock. I can still picture you all in Brick Street school but now you will certainly be young adults. Cindy, I still have my china doll and she is always dressed in the beautiful white satin dress you made for her. And Sarah, I remember how sweetly you sang the Brahm’s lullaby for the class. And I remember the boys’ fingerprints on the apron you made for me.

Thinking of you all,

Libby Kay

Uncle Jim, Cindy and Tom,
Aunt Midge was a Great Aunt to my kids but a Great Aunt to me also. I have fond memories of the ribbing she would give me as I stumbled around trying to be useful on the farm and the dinners she would put on after a long day’s work. Her chocolate pies stand out in particular! She will be greatly missed by all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren but they too will take comfort from their memories. Please accept our profound condolances.
Kirby, Lora, Minami, Tak and Kaz.

Uncle Jim, Tom and Cindy – we were so sorry to hear about Aunt Midge. Like Kirby, I have great memories of being on the farm for Dickenson family reunions – lots of fun around the pool, great food and always a buzz of excited energy as the cousins gathered. She was at the heart of those celebrations! We will be holding you in our prayers in the days and weeks ahead. With lots of love and hugs – Barb, Mark, Wes & Owen

Sending our heartfelt sympathies to all of you. Our thoughts and love are with you during this difficult time.

I fondly remember Sunday family dinners at both the Dickinson & Stephenson family homes. I remember Aunty Midge’s meatloaf (I still use her receipe) , sleep overs, and you both trying to convince me to stay the entire night….you were wonderful!

Condolence from Jeffrey Ferguson on December 7th, 2012 5:49 AM

To everyone in the Dickenson, Tuttle, and Ferguson families,

I’m deeply sorry that I can’t be there with you. My love and my thoughts are going out to all of you, and Grandpa, I’m glad I got the chance to speak with you on the phone. Grandma was someone who always put family first, whether it be through babysitting her grandchildren whenever asked, rushing to her sister’s side at a time of emergency, or helping plan weddings and family reunions in any way she could. I’m sure that she felt very blessed to know six great-grandchildren, and hopefully many more will come to know the memory of her giving and selfless spirit. We will all miss her dearly.

Dear Cindy and Family,
Chris and I are very sorry to hear about your Mother’s/Grandmother’s passing. I met her at a guide dog users convention in Ottawa, and I remember her reading the restaurant menus to a throng of blind people. She was a very nice lady, and she seemed to enjoy helping us. In just one weekend, she made a great impression on me. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Condolence from Kyle Alliston on December 9th, 2012 6:09 PM

Dear Uncle Jim,

So sorry to hear about Aunt Midge. She will be missed greatly.

My favorite memory was the time you let me drive the combine tractor while eating bologna sandwiches that Aunt Midge made for us… I seem to recall eating most of them but I was a growing boy at the time lol. That was the first time that I learned to love large machinery and I remember never wanting to come home after having such an awesome day with both you and Aunt Midge.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Lots of Love,

Kyle
