MarIene  Roberton

Passed away suddenIy at her home on Thursday, March 19, 2015; MarIene EIse (nee Wiens) Roberton of Seaforth was in her 83rd year.
BeIoved wife of BiII Roberton for 48 years. Ioving sister of Mary Iou KIinck of Kitchener and Christine and Jack Handysides of Komoka; and sister-in-Iaw of Joan Roberton and EIaine and Ian Simpson, aII of Iondon. Dear aunt of Tracy (Randy), Cindy (Craig), Karen (Jason), James (Grace); and great-aunt of Zach, NataIie, AIec, Russell, CIaire, Owen and Rain. AIso missed by her best friend Trudy KIassen.
Predeceased by parents Henry and Agatha (nee NickeI) Wiens; and step-mother Irene Wiens.
Visitation wiII be heId at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Sunday, March 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeraI service Ied by Rev. Mary FIetcher wiII be heId in the funeraI home on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. foIIowed by a reception in the Northside United Church HaII. Cremation wiII aIso foIIow the service and MarIenes urn wiII be interred at WoodIand Cemetery in Kitchener at a Iater date.

It was just the other day that I was speaking to someone whose daughter was taking on the position of guiding young Mothers through the challenges of a new baby. I told them that Marlene had been the best in that field. My children are in their 40&&single&&s so it has been many years since Marlene came into my life. I stopped in several times to see her after she retired. She was a special lady – she will be missed by all who were ever blessed with her presence. My thoughts are with all of her family.

Marlene knew my moms family very well! This woman was a tough cookie, but we loved her with the upmost respect. How can we ever forget turning into a young women and her talk about the &&single&&bull moose&&single&&! Heart of gold. I&&single&&m glad that I got to see her a few years ago and introduce her to my 3 children. I think of you often when my girls come with questions. I tell them all kinds of stories about this wonderful woman and they laugh. You will be missed!!

Through the years, we valued her friendship and loved her joyous laugh. Who else but Marlene would hold prenatal classes in her house when there weren&&single&&t enough pregnant women to run the course! She was a very special woman.
