Passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of the late Aileen (Eaton) Manuel for 52 years. Cherished father of Amanda and Tom Mawson. Adored papa of Brittany and Adam, Sabrina and Aaron, Brayden, Nathan and Sky, Trevor and Rebecca, and Michael and Jesse and great-grandpa of Caleb, and Paisley. Dear brother of Donna Oakley, and Cheryl Brock and brother-in-law of Larry and Cathi Eaton, Keith and Joan Eaton, Eric and Olive Eaton, and Brenda Ward. Predeceased by his siblings-in-law Glen Eaton, and Lorne Ward, parents-in-law Walter and Mary Eaton and his mother Colleen Manuel.
Brian was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and moved to Ontario at a young age, first settling in Mitchell before making Seaforth his home for the majority of his life. He spent much of his career at Cooper Standard, where he built lasting friendships with his coworkers. Brian had a passion for fishing, a love of NASCAR, and a fondness for trucks and eagles. Above all, he was incredibly proud of his daughter and his family, a love and pride that will remain with them forever.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at the family’s residence, 35648 Maguire Road, Ailsa Craig on September 14th from 2 – 4 PM.
Donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or BREATHE – Canadian Lung Association in Brian’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
