We have lost a friend and a neighbour , a person my children called “Uncle Don”. Don was always up for a party , enjoyed going hunting or fishing and playing Euchre at our shack on the Parr Line. Sexsmith airport was his second home. Don was the life of the party and his many friends will miss his humour and wit and his presence. Condolences to all his friends from every walk of life.

Condolence from Carrie Cleave and family on June 24th, 2019 10:22 AM

Growing up and having such a great neighbour like Don, was an honour. Taking me up in his airplane for my first ever plane ride, is a memory I will forever hold on to. Remembering him, my Dad and some of the neighbourhood friends/family, when I was young, has always made me laugh. The things I would see as a little kid and wonder if all grown ups were like that. Now I think, if only we could all be like that, enjoying life. Thanks Don for the memories. It has been great reuniting with you in such a “small word” way over the last years. Greg and myself, appreciate all you have done. You are missed. Rest well. We will have a drink in your memory (as we sit beside your “retro” cooler) and smile. Cheers Don.

Condolence from Jessica Baynham on June 24th, 2019 6:25 PM

I was really saddened to hear of Dons passing over this weekend. Growing up in town as child and young adult I was blessed to have Don as a neighbour. He was a friend and neighbour to many in our little community. Don always referred to my mom and I as “the Baynham girls” growing up. Don was always quick to share a laugh and a smile. I could always count on Don for a warm hello or a friendly conversation over the years when visiting my parents near by in the neighbourhood. Don’s zest for life and killer sense of humor were apparent in every conversation we shared over the years.

You truly are a beautiful soul inside and out Don. I hope heaven is all that is meant to be and your flying high with those angels doing what you enjoy. I can speak for “The Baynham” girls knowing you will be sadly missed xoxo
