How very sorry I was to hear of the sudden and unexpected passing of Justin; deepest sympathies to all his family. I have known Justin for many years and he has always had a special place in my heart. Before and after he was in my grade five class at Summers Corners Public School he would visit me arriving on his bike, sometimes alone and sometimes with Curtis. He would knock on my window and come in for a visit and a snack from “Mrs Jakob’s treat drawer”. I loved those visits; always big smiles and a hug! At Port Bruce he would ride up on his bike with a big “Hey there Mrs Jakob!” He had that wonderful smile and an easy chatting way. I am soooo sorry he has left this Earth and we all won’t get to see that smile anymore or have friendly chats with him. My heart goes out to you all. RIP Justin.
When I had to switch schools in 5th grade justin was the first person I met and we become friends instantly. That whole year I spent every recess with him and would fake sick so I could go home when he didn’t come to school because I knew I wouldn’t have anyone else to spend that time with. You showed me kindness and friendship when I really needed a friend and I will forever be thankful and appreciative of that.
