MALONE: Paul James of London, formerly of Whalen Corners and St. Columban

October 4, 1943 – October 31, 2025

Passing peacefully with his family by his side at LHSC – University Hospital on Friday, October 31, 2025 at the age of 82. Cherished husband of Mary Lou (Coyne) Malone. Loving father of Peggy (John), Katie (Chris), Kelly (Shawna), Jennie, and Patty (Josh). Proud Papa of Tatum, Flynn, Declan, Marlow, Garnet, Violet, and Parker. Dear brother of Frank, Pauline, Anne, and Geraldine. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Teacher of all life’s practical skills, Paul was the one you turned to when something needed fixing, building, or understanding.  He brought patience and a touch of humour to everything he did.

A devoted husband to his high school sweetheart, and a proud dad and papa, he was the steady protector and heart of his family.  His dry, witty sense of humour, and endless Dad jokes kept everyone smiling, even on the toughest days.

An outdoorsman and camper, Paul found peace under open skies and joy in the beauty of nature.   A hard worker and lifelong athlete, he lived with quiet strength, laughter and love.

Paul will be remembered not only for what he built with his hands, but for the love, warmth, and laughter he built into the lives of those who were lucky enough to know him.

Visitation will be held at St. George’s Parish, 1164 Commissioners Road West, LONDON (Byron) on Tuesday, November 4th from 9:30 – 10:30 AM, where Paul’s Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM. Interment St. Columban Cemetery.

Stream the service live or at your convenience by visiting https://www.youtube.com/sgtvlondon.

Donations to Canadian Cancer Society, St. Columban Cemetery, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Tom and I are so sad for you Mary Lou and your family on the loss a dear husband and father, Paul. He was a good man. You want the good ones to last forever but there are no choices for any of us. We always admired you and Paul, how you worked so well together to build you home and family. You were the perfect couple. You had a full and happy marriage. Some people don’t get to experience that. I remember how good you were to our children when they were young. I am grateful for that and don’t think I ever thanked you enough. I find there is sorrow and joy in someone close passing, sorrow that you can’t have them forever and joy that you got to have them and enjoy them for whatever time you could. I hope you will take good care of yourself and know that Paul’s spirit is always with you. We offer our deepest sympathy! Tom and Rose
