At Wildwood Care Centre, St. Marys on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 Madeline Gertrude (Westman) Hardie formerly of Granton and Lucan, in her 96th year.  Beloved wife of the late Robert Hardie (1992).  Dear mother of Pat and Joan Hardie of Dutton and Ruth Cook of Granton. Much loved grandmother of Heather Hardie of Calgary, Dave and Marg Cook, Doug and Kim Cook, John and Cheryl Cook and Steve and Amy Cook all of Granton and proud great-grandmother of Brad, Jenna and Steven; Jesse and Kathryn; and Maddie and Grace. Dear sister-in-law of Amelia Jameson of St. Marys and Anna McCullough of Thamesford. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son-in-law Clifford Cook (2006), brothers Vic, Harry and Leon, sisters Verna, Ruth, Bernice and Edythe and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lant Hardie, Ken and Rhea Hardie, Glenn Jameson, Floyd and Mary Dykes and Harold and Edith Hardie.  Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Wednesday evening 6-9 PM and on Thursday 10-11:30 AM where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 26th at 11:30 AM with Pastor Paul Vollick officiating. Interment Granton Cemetery. Donations to Granton Wesley United Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
