It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ted Madden on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at South Huron Hospital, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Alison Madden (Hoy). Loving dad of Sarah (Chris) Vienneau. Cherished papa of Leah Vienneau. Dear brother of Micheal (1958), Raymond (1977), Peggy, Pat, Jerry, Steve, Marie, Judith (1955), Joe, Jim (1992), and Bernice. Greatly missed by his sister-in law Pat Germann. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents
Joesph and Marie Madden.
Ted enjoyed many sports; hockey on a Toronto Star league, racket ball, and karate. He was known for his love of his Irish heritage, visiting Ireland with his wife Alison many times over the years. Ted worked as a district circulation manager for the Toronto Star for over 40 years. Ted and Alison also created lots of cherished memories from their many summer camping trips, ranging from tenting to their fifth wheel.
In keeping with Ted’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and an “Irish wake” will take place at a later date.
Donations to a charity of your choice in Ted’s memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
My heart goes out to you all – Alison, Sarah, Leah, Chris and others within his family. I know you all have wonderful memories of the great and fun times together with Ted that you will hold closely in the days and years ahead. It’s never easy to say goodbye to one we love. Condolences to you all, Karen
Our sincere Sympathy to you Alison and your family. Our thoughts are with you. Love, Gloria, Michael, Kevin and Logan

Barb and I just heard the news of the passing of Ted a short time ago. We were very saddened to hear of his passing and I read the nice obituary of Ted.
I am sure the family will have wonderful memories of Ted and his life and rest assured that he is in a more wonderful and beautiful place. Love Nancy and Barb Hooton
