My heart is broken for the loss of this amazing lady who was so gentle and kind, warm and loving with everyone she met. I will miss her angelic nature and her beautiful smile that lit up any room she was in. Rosalind I will miss you, I am so grateful for the memories we shared and feel blessed to have known you. Roz, I’m so glad I got to meet you when I started at Masonville branch, it was a pleasure working with you until you left for the new branch at Fanshawe and Hyde Park , you left with Jean, you left us too soon, I’m so glad that I bumped into you at BeerTown that’s the last time I saw you.

Dear Charles and family: My sincere condolences to you at this heart-breaking time. It was a privilege to know Roz and I wish we had more years to spend together. A special person indeed who will not be forgotten.

We first met Roz and and Charlie during their time at Bentsen Grove Resort in Mission, TX. Roz was a loving, caring person and a proud Canadian. She lived life to the fullest and she will be missed by all who knew her. Our deepest condolences to you Charlie and your family.

First, we would like to express our very heartfelt condolences to you, Charles and family on the loss of your wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. I first met Roz when we lived beside each other in residence at Queen’s. Then life happened: marriage, children, grandchildren, joy and loss. Although we lost touch over the years we were fortunate to reconnect through social media and a mutual friend until we were able to meet in person both at their lovely home in Grand Bean and at our cottage. We have many wonderful memories. Roz, gentle, loving and compassionate, we will miss you, my friend. Bob and Holly Meining

Charles, although it was only a short period of time that I knew Roz, she touched my heart so. Such a lovey sole. I miss her smile each Sunday but will remember with a smile of my own.

My late husband Terry Butler and I first met Roz and Charlie when we bought their house in London in 2010. My husband was a pilot in the US Air force and we felt an immediate bond with another military family. Our friendship developed over the years and we visited them in Grand Bend and they stopped in to see us in Florida. Roz and I kept in touch and I was always impressed with her kindness, gentleness, amazing organization skills, love of family and wonderful sense of humour. You will be much missed Roz and forever loved and remembered. Rest in peace…and as Terry would say…fly high…

We were called the Ski Bunnies! In 1982 a group of Scotiabankers from Kingston Ontario decided to start going away for a ski weekend as a yearly retreat. Roz was the youngest and there were 9 of us. For over 30 years we would faithfully go away, there was always laughter and maybe a few tears but always fun to get together.
Sadlyt as we grew older we retired and went in different directions, there are now only 4 left. We still keep in touch through social media and follow each others adventures in retirement.
Roz we will miss you and think of you often.

Charlie and family Please accept our condolenses. Roz was a special person and she will be missed by many. What a beautiful picture of Roz, We first became acquainted with you and Roz in Germany and we became friends there, and then, you arrived in Victoria after we had been posted back to Victoria from Germany. I don’t know if you knew that we became firm friends over the past few years on Facebook (how lovely it was to be able to communicate so easily) thank goodness for computers, it definitely brought people closer together. Can’t remember when you lived on the Island, but after Germany we remained friends and also after you left the Island. We spoke on the phone through good and bad times. She was a caring and wonderful friend and we kept each other up to date talking about those we knew both in Germany and in Canada. She kept us up to date on your comings and goings, the trips and friends we both knew. Even after her diagnosis we continued to play “Words with Friends” on FB and we were evenly matched. I shall miss these times, we had some fun conversations. She will be missed by many. I will remember her always. Here is something I found and I think it is something that will help through this sad time and in days to pass. “She’s in the sun, the wind, the rain, she’s in the air you breathe with every breath you take. She sings a song of hope and cheer, there’s no more pain, no more fear. You’ll see her in the clouds above hear her whisper words of love, you’ll be together before long, until then listen for her song.

Charles and family….I am sending my deepest condolences to you. Roz was a very special person, with a kindness that radiated from her. I feel honoured to have met her .

So very sorry to hear of Roz’s passing. She was a wonderful gal, and a member of our coffee and lunch group when I lived in Grand Bend several years ago. Condolences to the family
