Lillias (Lil) Smith McArthur (Barr) McLellan

We have sadly lost our matriarch.  Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family at LHSC-Westminster Campus on Friday, November 16, 2012 of Exeter in her 81st year, Lil went to join her heavenly family.

Beloved daughter of the late Robert and Lil Barr.  Dear wife of Stewart for over 61 years.  Dearly loved mom of Sandra (Larry Hern) of Whalen Corners, Ian (Jeanette) of Walton, Donna (Bill Thompson) of Brucefield, and Judi (Don Shropshire) of Markdale.  Cherished grandmother to Chris & Kate, Jason & Anne, Becky & Chris, Tara & Joe, Sarah & Kyle, Matthew & Selina, Rob & Kim, Jeff & Michelle, Michael, Tricia & Jeff, Andrew & Kathryn, Sarah Jane & Nicola, Barbara Anne, Jenni & Darron, Chris & Kayla & Kirsti adored great-grandma (G.G.) to Kayleigh, Cole, Connor, MacKenna, Brooke, Zoey, Chelsea, Thomas, Reece, Korbon, Claire, Alayna, Haley, Cian and Tennyson.  Predeceased by her sisters Bette, Toni and Mary and her brothers Bob, Tommy and Archie.  Dear sister-in-law of Marion Barr, Beverly Barr, Phyllis McLellan, Gladys McLellan, Norman and Shirley McLellan and Grant McLellan.  Predeceased by sister and brothers-in-law Mary (McLellan) and Robert Turnbull and Bob McLellan.  She will be dearly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lil and Stu enjoyed many adventures of travel in their motor home throughout their years together. She was also a member of the Caven Presbyterian Church and Riverview Estates Social Club in Exeter.  The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at South Huron Hospital,Exeter and LHSC-Westminster Campus,London.  A special thanks to Dr. Fortin for the compassionate care given.  At Lil’s request cremation has taken place.

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, (1 street west of Main), Exeter on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where a Celebration of Life will be held on  Saturday, November 24, 2012  at 2 PM at the Caven Presbyterian Church, 68 Main St, Exeter with Dorothy Henderson, Minister, Caven Presbyterian Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Caven Presbyterian Church, South Huron Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
