Hughie was an amazing man. So full of life and serious at the same time. I was blessed to have met him throughout my childhood and as I grew up and worked in the community. Hughie became an integral part of my life throughout the time I bartended at the Hensall Legion and he was often a patron in each restaurant where I worked. He was one of my favourite people and accepted me for who I was. No matter where life took me he was always in the background trying to remain unnoticed showing me that someone cared. His opinion was his alone and he was not afraid to speak up if he thought that I needed my butt kicked or to offer life experience to help me make a decision. Although we haven’t visited in a few years I am going miss Him dearly. Especially his warm smile, loud laugh and stern look to keep me in check. Heaven is lucky to have him and I will miss him terribly. Rest In Peace my friend. Xoxo
