Peacefully at her home, with her sons by her side on Thursday, July 11, 2019, of Strathroy, formerly of RR 4 Denfield at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Lenders (1989). Loving mother of Andy Lenders of Ilderton, Joe Lenders of Ailsa Craig, and John and Sue (Verhallen) Lenders of Lakeshore. Proud Oma of Eric, Kayley, and Jenna. Nellie will be dearly missed by her niece El and Pete Hillen, and their family of Mount Brydges. She will be remembered by all of her family and friends in Holland.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Sunday from 3 – 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 32922 Richmond Street, Lucan on Monday, July 15th at 1 PM, with Father Ross Bartley presiding. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Lucan.
For those who wish, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

To Nellie’s Family,
I sat beside her at Seasons and she was brought to the table for supper on Wed. in a wheel chair. She gave me her key to get her mail and I can’t believe that she passed away so soon after that. I knew she was not feeling completely well but never thought her poor health was so serious.

Oh my goodness. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing. I absolutely adored Nellie and I couldn’t wait for her to come I to my salon when I did her hair in Lucan. She was such a breath of fresh air. May she Rest In Peace.

She was a good friend to many and will be sadly missed by all.
Unfortunately I am in Quebec and unable to attend her Funeral Mass on Monday.
I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Nell has been such an amazing friend. Her phone calls to keep us updated on everyone will be truly missed. Our deepest sympathies to the family, Andy, Joe, and John and Sue and the grandchildren. She always spoke with so much happiness about her family. She is where she has waited to be, back with your dad. Thinking of you all.

I remember Tante Nel as a very strong independent women. The memory of my visit to Tante Nell 6 years ago will be kept with me forever. Luckily we can still listen to the great stories the whole family has about Tante Nell oeth Canada.

Heel veel sterkte gewenst voor deze moeilijke tijd. Wij herinneren tante Nel als een dappere, sterke, opgewekte, lieve moeder die in Canada een fijn gezin runde. Een moeder die de familieband erg belangrijk vond. Velen uit Limburg zijn bij jullie geweest en altijd zeer gastvrij ontvangen door haar. En dat zijn mooie herinneringen aan haar die nog lang in onze gedachte blijven.
