LEMMON: Robert “Bob” of London, formerly of Ilderton

It is with heavy hearts the family of Robert “Bob” Lemmon announce his passing on Friday, December 23, 2022 at the age of 87. Loving husband of Anita (Edgar) Lemmon for over 64 years. Dear father of Sandra Strybosch of Strathroy and her partner Albert Roks and Craig Lemmon of Burlington. Proud grandfather of Curtis Strybosch, Jean-Luc Lemmon and Lily Strybosch. Dear brother of Marion Kerslake and brother-in-law of Reg and Marg Edgar, Marilyn and Ray Bentley, Jim and Gail Edgar, Joan Gerhard, Barry and Penny Edgar, Bob and Jan Edgar and Lynda and Brad Collins. Bob is survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Howard and Vera (Smith) Lemmon, brother Bill Lemmon, sister Donna Thomas, brothers-in-law Bob Kerslake, Ron Edgar and Jim Gerhard, and sisters-in-law Phoebe Lemmon, Barb Edgar and Judy Edgar. 

Bob worked in the car and truck sales industry for over 40 years, retiring from Pollock Truck Rentals in Strathroy in 2000.

Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Thursday from 6 – 8 PM. Registration is required and appreciated. Please click “Register Now” below to register.

Bob’s funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, December 30th at 11 AM. Cremation to follow with spring interment Baird’s Cemetery. (Registration is not required to attend the funeral).

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or Ilderton United Church would be appreciated by the family. 

The family would like to thank the health care team and Dr. Bakir at University Hospital and the staff at The Manor Village London for their excellent care of dad.

So sad to read of Bob’s passing. I worked with Bob at Pollock Nationalease for many years and I look back on those years with fond memories. He was a wonderful boss, teaching me a great deal about the trucking industry. Sincere & heart felt sympathies to Anita, Sandy, Craig & families.
