LEIBOLD: Ross “Rosco” Theodore

LEIBOLD:  After meeting his Great-Granddaughter Millie  (2 days old) and holding her hand, it seemed to be his last wish and last piece of life.  Ross Theodore “Rosco” Leibold, of Dashwood, formerly of Zurich, passed in a storm (on Wednesday, August 3, 2022) which was very symbolic to his own personal fight the past three years, at the age of 73.  Strength, endurance and battle.  All in All with an out pour of tears from heaven.  Loving father of John and Arron Leibold of Dashwood and the late Jeanette Tye (2005).  Cherished grandpa of Cody Leibold, Jessica Jones, Deighan Crane, Alexander Leibold (fiancée Chelsey), the late Nicholas Leibold (2021) and Dayna Tye (Steven).  Treasured great-grandpa of Tyson, Skylah and Millie Leibold, Dallas Tye and Beau Bierbaum.  Dear brother and brother-in-law of Ray and Lillian Leibold of London, Helen and John Bowman of Stratford, Gloria Kowatsch of Stratford.  Ross will be remembered by his close and long time friend Vonnie Morgan of Clinton.  He worked for Blackstone Industrial Products and Spectra Premium, Stratford for 38 years.  Predeceased by his parents Theodore and Edna (Gaiser) Leibold, brothers Eugene Leibold, Fred Leibold and sister Ruth Woodhouse.  In keeping with Rosco’s wishes, visitation will be held at the farm 70282 Bronson Line, Dashwood, overlooking the pond, on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with a Service of Remembrance and time of Sharing at 11 a.m. Please dress casual and bring a lawn chair.  Interment Bluewater Bronson Line Cemetery, Zurich.  We would like to express our sincere thanks to Vonnie Morgan and the Caregivers of St. Elizabeth, Cassie and Kendall for their exceptional care and compassion shown to all of us during this difficult time.  Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood.  If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Ross. I have many memories of hanging out with the family when we would be visiting Grandma just across the way. So much fun and I remember the boys being full of mischief and loved to tease us girls. May your happy memories get you through this difficult time.

Condolence from Marjorie Skinner on August 15th, 2022 5:27 PM

Rest in peace Ross. I remember you well when you lived next to my grandparents on the Babylon Line and we were up there on and holidays. Next it was the annual Leibold summer picnics in surrounding towns. Then when you stayed with my mom in Stratford and worked at Blackstone. You were a kind pleasant first cousin and we all thought you were a great man..
I was sorry I missed your funeral because of health issues. Would have loved to see your family. Love cousin Marjorie.
