Laura was a close friend of my sister Nancy (Gilberg).
Laura was a fellow student at Port Credit Secondary in Mississauga where she was a cheerleader. She later made her career at Holt Renfrew in Toronto.
I remember her especially as an active member of the St.Andrew’s youth group.

A celebration of Laura Leckie’s life will be held this Sunday May 29 at 1 p.m. on the banks of the Credit River, just north of the tracks in Port Credit off Stavebank Road on the lawns of a childhood friend of Laura, Nancy Robertson, 236 Websters Lane Mississauga L5G 1S5.

This is very sad and shocking news. I’ve known Laura and her family for years and she was a good friend.

I am so very sorry to hear about Laura I am not able to attend today but will keep you in my thoughts.

My deepest sympathies to Laura’s family and dear friends. I knew her from high school where she was always a warm, welcoming person. I have no doubt that over the years, she made a difference in many people’s lives.

Sending condolenses to Laura family…She was a beautiful friendly lady who worked across from our business Foodies in Grand Bend.Always had a story,many laughs were shared ..she will be missed Mike and Chris Burgess.

Laura was my best girlfriend when I first got to Grand Bend. She was so kind to me. She and Dean lent me the car when I didn’t have one, and she lent me money and whatever I needed. She brought food to another friend and she enjoyed going out for a drink. I will never forget her.

My Sincere Condenses to Dean and Laura’s family. Laura and I were close friends when I lived at the Beach. We enjoyed dinners. Drinks. Walks shopping laughter and tears. LAURA was a very special lady kind. Living and will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️. May she rest in piece now.. xoxo
