LEATHERLAND: Unexpectedly, but peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Wednesday, November 3, 2022, Elizabeth “Liz” Jean (Currie) Leatherland of Grand Bend, age 78. Beloved wife of the late Alexander “Alex” John Chapman Leatherland (2003). Loved mother of David Leatherland of London. Remembered by Alex’s family. Predeceased by her parents William Wallace and Grace (MacWhirter) Currie. At Liz’s request there will be no funeral service and cremation will take place. Liz was a long time employee of BMO Grand Bend. T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, entrusted with arrangements. If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Always looked forward to our visits with your mom. She was always so upbeat & had the best sense of humour. Will miss seeing her every spring & fall. Rest in peace Liz….

David, I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom, she wasn’t only a client for many years , she was a dear Friend, and I have missed seeing her these last few months,when she was not able to come and get her hair done…We talked on the phone and I know she wasn’t feeling well enough to come out… I will miss her kindness and our fun visits… she was a special Lady and you have our sympathy at this very sad time….Jacqui & Charlie Regier
David, we were so saddened to hear of your Mom’s passing. I have such fond memories of visiting your house as a child and it was so nice to be able to reconnect with her in the past few years to help with the yard work. I hope she and my Mom will be catching up over a cup of tea. ❤️
Liz and I became friends through the Playhouse Guild. I was fortunate enough to be with Liz when she experienced a stroke several years ago and was so happy to be able to help her through this time. My condolences to Liz’s family and friends.
Liz , the good ol street won’t be the same without you. We will miss those emails, telephone calls and personal conversations at your back porch.
