LAWRENCE: Rosemary Lydia “Rosie” (Marion) of Wingham, formerly of Hamilton and Windsor

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Wingham District Hospital, on Saturday, February 21, 2026. Cherished mother to Victoria (Ellie). Deeply devoted sister and sister-in-law to Diane; Shirley (Steve); Mike; Harold; Sally; Bill (Edith); Laura (Joe); and Jeff (Anna). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Sadiran “Cubby”, and a fur-grandma to her beloved furry babies: Amor, Mr. Kidden, Little Miss, Hitch, Virgo, Doda, and Ebz. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents George and Beverly Marion.

Rosie found great joy in reading and writing poetry. A true “DVD Queen”, she loved spending hours watching old westerns and classic musicals. Her family will forever miss her famous mashed potatoes, made with love, and her macaroni and potato salads, which were always requested for gatherings. She had a unique sense of humour and was genuinely kind to everyone she met.

“Mommy Duah” will be forever missed by her “Baby Duah.”

“See you down the road.”

In keeping with Rosemary’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Donations to Rosie’s family to assist with financial stress during this difficult time would be appreciated. Please visit: https://gofund.me/3229c9659

May your memories help you through this difficult time. I met Rose at Braemar and will be forever grateful how she took my father under her wing and looked out for him. We watched many movies together and she was always up for a joke…a truly incredible woman!
