Suddenly, at his late residence on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 Laverne R. Heywood of Exeter in his 86th year.  Beloved husband of Beatrice (Gerber) Heywood.  Dear father of Ron and Lorraine Heywood and Donna Regier all of Exeter, Gary and Louise Heywood of Granton, Shirley and Ken Simpson of Lucan, Don and Joan Heywood of Exeter, Doug and Joanne Heywood of Hamilton, Bob and Martha Heywood and Dan Heywood all of Exeter and Murray Heywood of Oshawa.  Dear grandfather of 29 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.  Dear brother and brother-in-law of Eldon Heywood of Exeter, Jack Heywood of London, Bev and Diane Heywood of Windsor, Ilene Potthoff and Irene Clausius both of Exeter and Orland and Marcella Gerber of Baden. Predeceased by daughter Judy Gregoire (2005), son-in-law Lloyd Regier (2000), brothers Dalton and Raymond, and sisters-in-law Lilly, Alva, Alice and Mary.  Friends may call at the Hopper Hockey Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Friday, November 3rd at 10:30 AM with Pastor Scott Stein and Pastor Kevin Rutledge officiating.  Interment Exeter Cemetery.  Donations to Emmanuel Baptist Church, Exeter Bible Fellowship or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
