Dave and I had a long conversation about Bob when we heard the news of his death – remembering especially his dedication to St. James’, the cemetery and Decoration Sunday. Not only have you lost a devoted husband and father, but Lucan has lost a dedicated and supportive citizen. All of you are in our prayers and we will be thinking of you on Wednesday as you say your final good byes. God will be with you to keep you strong.

Bob was a great neighbour and friend. He was always willing to help.
Twenty years ago he came over and worked all day helping me build a deck in the backyard. He loved to visit from the front porch with passersby or sit out there and read his novels. Last weekend I was up to visit him at the hospital, he was so concerned about the health of one of grandchildren. I will never forget that visit. God bless you Mary and family as you grieve, mourn and celebrate his life and love.
