The Bridge
For Gloria Christine on November 20th at 6:10 AM.
Mom’s path was only kindness and love to the bridge. We walked hand in hand never leaving your side. Six days and one morning we prayed, helped, sang and cried.
The sun rose slowly that misty morning, like balls of Angel hair on a Christmas tree. We opened the window to your room to give air and space to your soul.
Hands together we came to the bridge. You were so glorious, free, so beautiful and calm. The mystery of life and your crossing was beyond understanding.
But Mom, you knew what to do.
You moved forward and stepped across leaving the old behind. Stepping and clogging you made me smile. You knew that the bridge was strong and wide for all who have crossed before.
Your Faith and Love in Jesus Christ and the Holy Promise are keeping us strong and resilient.
Mom, your loving and caring hands have given so much to so many. We love you and we will follow your footsteps. Jesus, I am your child in Faith and Light – I will not fear for You are Here.
On that morning and quietly spoken in my heart Jesus said “Be still and know that I am God” Ps. 46:10. Six days and one morning, I knew. This day was to be mom’s greatest gift!
Thank you for being a witness to our mother – Gloria Christine Yaworsky Laporte. We love you mom and we will miss you so very much my Swan.
Thank You mom for bringing us together.
Thank You Jesus for your Promise!
Amen,
Lesha 2025
Mom, I miss you every day. You are always in my dreams. I carry you and we walk and I carry you. You are loved, protected, and I carry you . We have adventures and I carry you. I put you down in an easy chair and we visit with others. When it is to go, I pick you up and I carry you. I know dreams are just dreams. But, I am always carrying you . I am so proud and happy to carry you in my dreams. I love you mom! The tree lasted all Winter after the Autumn planting. It is growing stronger every day. I watch over it – it will be the Queen of the forest. I miss you mom and will keep the white pine strong and free. Lesha. Your daughter in Faith and Light and Hope.
