KNOCKWOOD: Donald “Donny” of London

Passed away peacefully at his home in London on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the age of 75. Cherished father of Dawn and Martin Riley, and Trooper Knockwood. Loving grandpa of Jacob (Cheryl) Riley. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Marion Knockwood, Stella Donnelly, Jenet Burmaster, Sheila Carlisle and the late Tom, Jerry and Darlene Knockwood, and Miles Knockwood. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Francis and Mary Ann (Caplin) Knockwood, and brothers Francis Knockwood Jr., and Allan Knockwood.

Donny was proud to serve his country in the Vietnam War through 1969-1970. He spent many years as a dedicated employee of Ford in Talbotville. Throughout his life, he had a passion for collecting coins and enjoyed drinking a cold Blue.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Donny’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #540 (Lucan Legion), 136 Market Street, LUCAN on Saturday, November 12th from 2 – 4 PM.

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or LHSF – Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated by the family.

Donny Knockwood saved me from drowning in the late 60’s in Camp Petawawa Ont. I would not have been able to live the life I did if not for him. A wonderful, caring and witty friend back then. My sincere condolences to his children and loved ones. He is still in my grateful heart.
