KNIGHTS-FALCONER: Roan James of Clinton

“Be a Unicorn in a field of horses.” It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that we say ‘until we meet again’ to the brightest Unicorn ever, Roan James.

We called him our Unicorn due to how wonderfully unique he truly was. Roan James Knights-Falconer was born April 10th, 2019 @4:15pm, in Stratford General Hospital. He passed away on December 25th, 2024 @4:15pm after courageously battling with cancer.

Following his 5th birthday, Roan was diagnosed with leukemia, a disease that continued to mutate into a rare form. He also had autism, which only added to his remarkable individuality. Roan was a little boy who filled the world with wonder- jumping on trampolines for hours and never seeming tired. His love for submerging himself in water until only his face was visible. And exploring life in ways that were uniquely his own.

Roan brought such joy with his little quirks and preferences: His love for chewing everything, and I do mean everything. His special taste in foods: nuggets with mom, but chicken strips with dad. And the way he gave hug only when he wanted, with his back. So many little things that made up such a big personality that will forever be missed.

Roan is survived by his mother, Katelyn Knights, his father, Andrew Falconer; his two grandmothers, Kelly Knights and Jennifer Burroughs; his grandfather, Tony Falconer; his great-grandmothers, Ruthann Knights, Rita Burroughs, and Verna Edgar; Norma & Alan Falconer, his aunts, Kendra Knights (cousins Caydence, Sydney and Leo), Kourtney Knights, and Ashley Falconer; his uncle, Korbin Knights; as well as five great-aunts, five great-uncles, countless cousins, extended family members, and so many others who loved him
dearly.

Roan’s spirit and memory will forever be engraved in our hearts. “If there’s ever a tomorrow where were not together, there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing to remember is, even if we’re apart, I’ll always be with you.” ~ Winnie The Pooh

May Roan’s light and magic forever guide us

Such a wonderful, courageous, little boy, Katelyn! He had the best giggle & his smile just lit up the room. He sure has left an impact on all of us in his short life. Let the fun, special memories help to heal your heart & the knowledge that he’s in Heaven welcomed by his great-grandpa Earl, his grandpa Paul & Brent, give you comfort. You know Brent will make it fun for him there. As always, big, tight hugs for you.
