KLAVER: Corry (Koot) of Clinton, formerly of Seaforth

Unexpectedly, but peacefully at Huronview Home for the Aged, Clinton on Thursday January 5, 2023 of Clinton, formerly of Seaforth at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Henry Klaver (2013). Proud mother of Marianne Andrews (Dennis), and Janice Grunert. Adored grandma of Kevin (Sherri), Jason, and Tammy; Melissa, Jessica (Derek), and Kayla (Alex) and Oma of Carter, Kullen, Piper; Ty, Mya, Calvin, and Casey. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews both in Canada and Holland. Predeceased by her parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Corry was a very hard worker and always kept herself busy with many jobs and hobbies. Fitting that she spent her final 10 years in Huronview, a place she spent many years working earlier in life. In her spare time she volunteered with the Salvation Army, Agricultural Society and was part of the Catholic Women’s League.

Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, SEAFORTH on Monday, January 9th from 11:30 – 12:30 where the funeral service will be held at 1 PM. Interment Clinton Cemetery.

For those unable to attend the service in person, the family invites you to join with them from the comfort of your home. Stream the service live or at your convenience by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Marianne , Janice and families;
So sad to hear about your Mom. I only met her a few times but she was quite a character. Always busy with volunteering and liked to visit everyone around Clinton and Seaforth.
You’ll miss her but keep the good memories close to your heart.❤❤

Sweet family,
My condolences on the loss of your dear Mother and Grandma. the times we had contact with her or when she was in the Netherlands, she was always positive and interested in everyone, and especially in the Netherlands she was very happy to see the family again. And even then she couldn’t sit still, because she was always ready to help.
In recent years, due to her illness, contact has become less and less. we hope they do that she had a good time. We wish you all a lot of strength with this loss.
