Betty passed away peacefully at Jessica’s House, Exeter with her family by her side on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Bob Kirk (2017). Loving mom of Greg (the late Sandy) Kirk, the late Mark Kirk, and Kelly and Jeff Webster. Proud grandma of Ashley, Adam; Brandyn, and Matthew (Josie). Adored GG of Leah, and Aubrey. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Bill and Sylvia Brown, Brenda and Terry Laliberty, and Nancy Brown. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Jesse and Arlene (Mansfield) Brown, and her brother Bob Brown.
Betty lived a life devoted to family, community, and caring for others. A nurse for many years, she was known for her compassion and kindness. In her younger years, she enjoyed golfing and made countless treasured memories at the Brown cottage. Betty was also a dedicated community volunteer and proudly served as Past President of the Zurich Bean Festival for many years. Above all, she adored her grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.
A private family graveside at the Exeter Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Donations to the Children’s Health Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Southwestern Ontario, Jessica’s House, or Blessings Community Store would be appreciated by the family.

I’m sorry to hear your mom has past. Betty was always such a kind person, liked by many and our family as well. May You take comfort in the knowledge she is with Your Dad and Mark in the Lords Eternal house. Deepest sympathy and condolences.
To Greg, Kelly, and the Kirk family,
We were saddened to hear of Betty’s passing.
Betty and Bob were such good friends of my Mom and Dad, Don and Betty Oke, and they were all part of the close-knit community we shared in Zurich. Their friendship spanned many years, and I know how much my parents valued both of them.
When we think of Betty and Bob, we think of a time when friendships were built to last and neighbours truly cared for one another. Those are memories that stay with you.
Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your mom, grandma, GG, and sister. We hope the many wonderful memories you shared with Betty bring you comfort in the days ahead and that you find peace knowing she has been reunited with Bob once again.
With deepest sympathy,
Rand and Gail Oke
