KINDT (Geerts) Sonja of Sylvan

It is with heavy hearts we share that our earthly angel, Sonja has joined her loving husband Bob (2016). Peacefully at home in Sylvan on Thursday May 2nd, 2019 in her 83rd year, surrounded by the family she devoted her life to, who loved her dearly. Sonja will leave a huge hole in the hearts of Deborah and Mark Darling and Donna and Terry Spruytte. A cherished and devoted Grandmother to Brent, Toni, Breanne, and Grant Darling, Nicole and Rob Marriott, and Danielle Spruytte and Dean DiPaolo.  They are thankful for the laughter shared, memories created, and unconditional Love received. A special sparkle in Great Grandma’s heart, was her Great Grandson Titan who brought her much joy. Fondly remembered and lovingly missed by her siblings Karl (Ingrid) Geerts and Marleen (Harold) White. Her niece Theresa (great nephews Jacob and Mason) White-Martin and nephew Jonathan White.

Special thanks to Dr. Richardo Fernandes, Rosemary and team of the Oncology Unit at Victoria Hospital.  Their compassion and sincere dedication to our Mom did not go unnoticed. We would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to our own families and friends for their support through kind words, thoughts and deeds, we are so grateful! Very special thanks to Veronica and Albert Vandenbrink. Neighbours and friends like you are irreplaceable.

We would like to invite any who wish to come and share thoughts and memories in a Celebration of Sonja’s life at the West Williams Community Centre, 32217 Kerwood Road, Parkhill on Wednesday May 8th, 2019 from 10 AM until 12 noon with words of remembrance at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a memorial donation to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, St. Elizabeth Health Care or a charity of your choice. Cremation with private Interment to take place at Parkhill Cemetery.

Deb, Mark, Donna , Terry and families. Heaven has gained another Angel. She was a second Mom to be for many years living down the road from me growing up. I have such wonderful memories of my time spent with your family. In September I had such a great visit with Sonja at Rob and Nicole’s wedding we shared many stories that night including some your Mom didn’t know about. Remember the great times you guys have spent together and the memories you have created. Bob and Sonja are now together again.
