Passed away peacefully at the Exeter Villa with her family by her side on Monday, July 31, 2023, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Elwyn Kerslake (2002). Proud mom of the late Paul Kerslake (2021), Karen and Bob Snow, Janet and Gerald Weido, Steve Kerslake, and Craig Kerslake and Wendy Becker. Adored grandma of Michelle and Greg, Leanne and Mark, Darren and Heather; Angela and Scott, Amy and Jamie, Jeff and Michelle; Rylan; Matt and Stacey, Shawn and Riley, and Drew and Melissa and great-grandma of Porter, Harrison, Mae, Will, Olivia, Mason, Hunter, Avery, Jordan, Dexden, Bennett, Gavin, Rowan, Kaisley, Graelyn, and Emerson. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Norma Ball, Pat Veal, Hazel Crockford, Phyllis Case, Pat and Jake Schroeder, and Marion Kerslake. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents William and Annie (Elford) Veal, her brother Ross, sister Mildred and her husband Donald Penhale, and brother-in-law Arthur Ball.
Wilma loved to spend time on the farm in Winchelsea, it was her happy place. She had the perfect spot in her chair looking out the window, watching and counting the cars go by. She enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of the farm along with the animals that would be around. Above all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
A private family funeral service will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter. Interment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to South Huron Hospital Foundation or Diabetes Canada.
