KENNEY: Kathy of Huron Park

Peacefully at LHSC – University Hospital on Sunday, January 2, 2022 of Huron Park at the age of 56.  Loving spouse of Jay Slaven for over 20 years.  Amazing mother of Shawna Forrester (Mike) of Grand Bend, Greg Forrester of London, Devin Gaiser of Stratford, and Kevin Gaiser of Huron Park.  Proud grandmother of 10.  Dear sister of Jim Kirk, Connie Lesperance (Shane), and MaryAnne Kenney (Jeff). Predeceased by her parents Florence Kirk and Charles Kenney, and brothers Steve and Ron.  Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. 

Following Kathy’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Haskett Funeral Home, EXETER entrusted with arrangements.

Donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Ontario SPCA would be appreciated by the family.

I am very sorry to hear of Kathy’s passing. I had lost touch with her over the years -we rode the bus together and were classmates in public school. I remember her having a great sense of humour mixed with a little mischievous smile.

Dear Family,

I was one of her drivers over the last half year, and she was an absolute gem. Full of life, loved to laugh and had lots to share. She loved a double double, which I was always happy to buy for her. She touched us all!
