Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the age of 65. Cherished father of Maxwell, Jacob, and Savannah. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Esther (Doug), Heather (Hank), and Helena. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Christiaan and Margaret, his sister Marjory, his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Nancy, and his dear friend Kathleen.
Keeping with Ian’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will at Parkbridge Estates, 20 Kalish Avenue, Exeter (community room building) on Saturday, March 21st from 12 – 4 PM.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
Heather, Hank & family I am so sorry for your loss. You will be in our prayers and thoughts during this difficult time.
I remember him as a hard working handy guy when we worked together at Blanes in the 80’s. Our condolences on your loss.

Ian was always friendly to everyone and enjoyed stopping for a chat
I just found out now the passing of Ian. My heart goes out to all of his family as Ian was an amazing cousin and friend. Ian was a hard working man and loved his jokes and smiles. No words can express the loss of Ian and just know we are thinking of his family. Sending love, hugs and prayers to all.
