JONES: Patricia “Pat” (Conn) of RR 4 Denfield

Passed away at LHSC – University Hospital on Friday, April 2, 2021 of RR 4 Denfield, at the age of 83. Cherished wife of Arthur “Joe” Jones for over 63 years. Proud mother of Ruth Jones, and Ruth’s chosen sister Connie and her children, Shawn, Eric, Colin, and Robbie. Pat will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and her furry friend Jake. Missed by her dear friends Randy and Becky Cake. Predeceased by her parents Burt and Rhea (Rochleau) Conn, infant sister Colleen, sister Catherine and her husband Tom Williams, and brother-in-law Ivan and his wife Doris Jones.

Pat worked for many years in retail at Kresges and K-Mart. When she wasn’t working, she was helping Art with the many duties on the farm and with the racehorses. If she had any spare time, Pat loved to sew, knit, read, throw in an odd side trip to the casino and share in a good laugh. She will be missed for her delicious meals, especially her apple pies. She enjoyed being a part of the Red Hats, which turned into the “circle of friends” and her K-Mart lunch crew.

Keeping with Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at the Siloam Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Lucan (519-227-4211).

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

‘Get the kettle on…….!’ Many, many great memories of Pat from visits around both of our kitchen tables, especially during the years that George and the Jones share-cropped. Countless games of euchre, many many of her hearty laughs, and of course, her pies and then her fruitcake at Christmas,… these will long be remembered. Always generous and honest! With deep sympathy to her family at this time of loss.
