Passed away with family by his side at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Elaine (Emerick) Johnson for 61 years. Cherished father of Harold and Holly Johnson and Tammy Johnson. Adored grandfather of Cullen (Ryan), Ian, Seamus, Liam, Parker; J.J. (Kristen), and Shawn (Nicole). Dear brother-in-law of June Johnson, and George Kennedy. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Howard and Mary Johnson, Bill and Lillian Johnson, Betty and Charlie Roulston, Gertrude and Ralph Murray, Mary and Alan Wright, Bob and Maxine Johnson, George Johnson, Pauline McDougall, Ray and Marie Johnson, and Ruth Ann and Ken Bice, parents Orville and Edna (Fleming) Johnson and his parents-in-law Harold and Eleanor Emerick and Stewart Cunningham.
Stan proudly served his community as a volunteer with the Grand Bend Fire Department. He had a passion for NASCAR and always cherished the time he spent at the race track. Above all, Stan treasured the moments shared with his grandchildren—whether lending a helping hand or simply spending time together, being there for them was his greatest joy.
Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at St. James Cemetery.
Donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.

Elaine,Harold, Tammy and families so sorry for your loss. Stan was a great person. I’ve known him since I was a kid playing road hockey in the beer store parking lot when you guys lived in the house beside it. He was on the Fire Department when I first joined. He’d always wave and smile when I’d meet him walking to the store as I was driving through town. Will miss him. Again my condolences.
