A Soldier
In Honor and Memory Of Sgt Jim Taylor.

There is discipline in a soldier
you can see it when he walks,
There is honor in a soldier
you hear it when he talks.
There is courage in a soldier
you can see it in his eyes,
There is loyalty in a soldier
that he will not compromise.
There is something in a soldier
that makes him stand apart,
There is strength in a soldier
that beats from his heart.
A soldier isn&&single&&t a title any man
can be hired to do,
A soldier is the soul of that man
buried deep inside of you.
A soldier&&single&&s job isn&&single&&t finished after
an 8 hour day or a 40 hour week,
A soldier is always a soldier
even while he sleeps.
A soldier serves his country first
and his life is left behind,
A soldier has to sacrifice what
comes first in a civilian&&single&&s mind.
If you are civilian –
I am saying this to you…..
next time you see a soldier
remember what they do.
A soldier is the reason our land
is &&single&&free&&single&&,
A soldier is the one that is brave
protecting you and me.
If you are a soldier –
I am saying this to you…..

To Family and friends , jim will stay forever in the hearts and minds of all who has had the fortunate opportunity to know him ,jim allways made me laugh , we would share a room on the road , while posted to 1 line tp. We got along so well . I sat with Jim at the last Line tp reunion and we could of talk forever about all the good times we had . I am so glad he came to the event . I will miss him dearly but our memories will last forever . Lefty!!!

Dearest Taylor Family and Friends,

It was with great sorrows that I received the news of Jim’s passing. Jim and I have shared many adventures and laughs during the past 30 years. During my career, I had the privilege to have served with Jim in 1 Line Troop and out West while he was posted in Wainwright.

His unique outlook on life, sense of humour and dedication to his fellow Linemen made him a role model of the Line trade and a genuine friend to all. I will sorely miss him but will keep found memories of this true soldier.

Please accept our sincere condolences. May it comfort you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you in these difficult times.

Jim was and shall remain a Lineman forever. Old soldiers never die, they just fade away.

My deepest regrets to Jim&&single&&s family and friends. I only actually met Jim a few times, but chatted to him regularly on the Linemen association site. Jim was a great man who was very proud of his time in the CF and especially to have served as a Canadian Forces Lineman. On behalf of the Canadian Association of Forces Linemen I pass on our deepest regrets for the loss of a highly respected soldier and friend.

Diana and myself wish to pass on our condolences to the Taylor family. Jim and my self served together as Lineman. I have many fond memories of him over the last 20+ years. Jim you have fought hard may you now rest in peace “Through”

My deepest sympathies to Jim&&single&&s family. I had the chance to work for Jim at my first posting in Calgary. Even though we weren&&single&&t always the easiest bunch to deal with as young Linemen he always looked out for us and had our best interests at heart. Jim was a great man with a big heart. As an old friend of Jim&&single&&s I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to his family for their tremendous loss. As a retired Lineman I remember fondly the times we spent together in 1 Line Troop. Jim was a gentle soul who was liked and admired by everyone who was fortunate to have known him.
