I have known George since we where children as we where born and raised on the same street in Belfast. Me in1942 and George in 1944. Us youngster’s spent a lot of time on the streets as our parents would put us outside every chance they got. They would tell us to come in when you are hungry. There was little or no traffic in those day’s and nobody stole children as they already had enough of their own. Some of our fun was chasing and teasing the wee hussies, skipping rope, kicking a ball made out of anything that we could find and roll up, knock doors and run away. Other than these things we where little treasure’s.
Jump ahead many years and we got married had children and came to Canada in1972. George and Rae did the same a few years later and we where very happy to have them in our circle again.
George has always been a very good friend which we have been thankful for. Our condolence to Rae and family.
